Applications Analyst

Location: Battersea

 

Foster + Partners, the award-winning architectural and design practice based in Battersea, are currently looking to recruit an experienced Applications Analyst to join the IT team.

The Applications Analyst will help to provide support and development to enhance the Sage People HR System recently implemented within the HR Function and across the business. This is a hands-on role and the job holder will have technical knowledge of IT applications and have worked in a technical customer service-based role.

 

The primary focus is to provide support in the areas which include workflows, integrations, automated activities and resolving daily BAU system issues. You will be liaising directly with the HR Reward & Data Manager, HR Team, IT teams, Senior stakeholders, external providers and the relevant business functions and the wider Practice. You must be able to work within a team, be self-motivated, proactive, and highly organised and customer service oriented.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide system level support to the HR Team, IT teams, Senior stakeholders
  • Investigate user problems and needs, identify their source, and determine possible solutions.
  • Work closely with the Project Management team and HR Team to tackle areas of improvement • Participate in the development of training materials and assist in conducting training and workshops
  • Investigate, recommend, and install new applications.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network.
  • Perform business analysis on current workflows and data
  • Work with HR to assess workflows, integrations, and review system processes
  • Review HR System data and suggest improvements to ensure data integrity
  • Assist with configuring the software product to meet our requirements
  • Designing and setting up workflow and reports
  • Participate in the development, implementation, installation, and testing of applications software.
  • Contribute through code/algorithm development and other means, for the development of tools and interfaces between application programs and for the development of debugging programs. Supporting:
  • Support enhancements of SAGE People including the performance and compensation modules • Support the wider HR Team/ employees to resolve queries and provide excellent customer service

 

Qualities and skills required

  • Willingness to learn HR processes, able to collaborate with wider teams such as HR/I.T/Finance and external providers.
  • Proven demonstrable experience in System Implementations from install to go live
  • Experience of implementing Sage People / Fairsail and project managing the implementation life cycle
  • Workflow analysis
  • Sales force/Sage People front and backend knowledge
  • Interface, integration, automation skills
  • Scripting and development languages commonly used for application integration, (HTML, Java, Perl, Shell, PHP)
  • Databases, reporting, and production processing for enterprise application systems. • Recognise, minimise, and resolve production problems.
